Hello people! I have been working in combustion with swirling flows with excellent results. Now, I'm will to work on Plasma enhaced combustion, so I have two very important questions:1.- How can I change therm.dat for reach high temperatures over 5000 K ????2.- Is there anyway to implement CHEMKIN III to get species like CL+ CL2+ CL- CL* ????I think these are very basic questions, but is a new field of study for me. Best regards!

I just uploaded a test case for MHD channel flows to the openfoam wiki: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/File:Shercliff_case.tar.gz. Would be nice to see more test cases there!

Hello Anton,

I was just checking your Shercliff flow test case and I notice a mistake (I think). In this test case all walls are insulated, but you have imposed perfect conducting walls (zeroGradient) in the front-back patch.

Perhaps I'm wrong, I'm working on compressible MHD.

Could anybody tell me how I can write div parallel or pependicular to a field(e.g.magnetic field) in OpenFoam in order to create a solver for anisotropic plasma? Thanks in advance!!!

Indeed, I want to write grad[k//grad//(p/ρ)+ k./.grad./.(p/ρ)] where // means parallel and ./. perpendicular to the magnetic field and k is the heat diffusion coefficient.

Hi all, Compressible stuff is not my thing, but at some point I might contribute work I've done on MHD turbulence modeling and wall functions for laminar (!) MHD flows. However, what I've done is for low magnetic Reynolds numbers. High Re_m is another bag of worms...
