Develop specifications for binary packages of OpenFOAM®, which are conform to each distribution policy.http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Howto_create_binary_packageshttp://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Installation#System_specific_tips_and_experiencesCreated on: Friday, 11 February 2011
The founding of this group was discussed and decided on the OpenFOAM® Stammtisch Germany 'Mitte' on September 24th, 2010, in the 'hybrid RANS/LES' bof session. The aim of this working group is to get users and developers interested in Detached-Eddy Simulation (DES) together and achieve a correct DES implementation in OpenFOAM® and a common understanding of the method.Furthermore, the already established contacts, working groups and results required a common platform to be able to focus on our goals. Finally, testcases, best-practice guidelines and an improved documentation are needed.Created on: Friday, 24 September 2010
The working group focuses on the development of a robust and versatile multiphase solve based on the Euler-Euler multi-fluid approach.Current applications of interest are the simulation of bubble columns and dense gas-particle flows, with granular phases described by means of the kinetic theory approach and frictional models.Starting point of the development is the existing twoPhaseEulerFoam solver, which will be modified to improve its robustness and then generalized to deal with an arbitrary number of dispersed phases. Further development will include the addition of quadrature-based methods to deal with particle/bubble size distribution.Created on: Wednesday, 29 September 2010
Working Group for interFoam solver (sub-group of the SIG on Multiphase Flows). If anyone in the community has a problem with interFoam & would like to get solution for it, can join here and post their problems. Results will be published in this group and on meetings,e.g., at the Local User Group meeting "Stammtisch" in Germany.Created on: Thursday, 13 October 2011
This group deals with the implementation of quadrature-based moment methods for the solution of kinetic equations, with the purpose of describing gas-solid and gas-liquid flows (risers, bubble columns, ...).Created on: Sunday, 12 December 2010
At the Stammtisch United at Dortmund 2011, we noticed, that it is not clear, if the current version has an adequate "automatic" wall function, or if there are better solutions. Within this group we want to test wall functions and exchange suitable test cases.Created on: Friday, 25 February 2011
