and I would like to ask for a small openfoam demosntrator and testcase for letting it run in mpi as a cluster and connecting to other nodes solving the testcase.

we want to check how much bandwidth openfoams uses and how it reacts on latency and different latencies of nodes via lan AND wan.
And of course we want to check if openfoam's mpi implementation is working with our system and vice versa.

is there already something available? Who could I ask?
We are more interested in the connection part than in having a solution to the testcase, so it should be simple, openfoam doesn't need to have all modules and addons, so it can be small.

But what about the TEST HARNESS stuff
it contains examples from Special Interesst Group Turbomachinery?

hmmmm, I don't understand what it does! So it's difficult for me to say if it is what we are looking for.

What the testcases are doing is not important, as long as they run for some time (eg 1 hour) and are processed by several nodes.
The dificult thing is to start with OpenFoam, because it is really powerful and finding out how to set up the master and nodes for the cluster.

That's why I asked for some kind of package. Perhaps it's not the best package and not containing every addon/plug-in there is, but it will run, has all master and nodes settings included and at least one testcase we could let run.
