Riemann Solvers for Compressible flow Group Forum: The working group is interested in the development of approximate Riemann solvers for Hyperbolic Conservation Laws. Riemann solver is a numerical method used to solve a Riemann problem. They are heavily used in computational fluid dynamics and computational magnetohydrodynamics.

A density-based solver for compressible flows called AeroFoam (compatible with OpenFOAM® 1.4.1) by G. Romanelli and E. Serioli is available to download at the following site.

The approximate Riemann solvers such as Roe,HLL, HLLC etc. are implemented here.

Unfortunately no.. . It is compatible with OpenFOAM® 1.7.0. But, there are people working to upgrade the solver to make it compatible with the latest version of OpenFOAM®. Let's hope the new version will release soon..
