May I know whether KIVA is available for free ?

And can anybody provide the materials regarding the tutorial ENGINEFOAM ?

I am also interested in getting the materials related to dynamic meshing in OpenFOAM®.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Manimaran

First of all welcome
Regqrding your KIVA question, please check this link www.lanl.gov/orgs/t/t3/codes/kiva.shtml .
What do you want to simulate? In OpenFOAM® 1.5-dev and 1.6-ext are plenty of things for engine simulations already implemented, for instance mesh motion strategies, spray libraries, combustion...
Please let me know what are u looking for in particular.

Thanks for your reply, Peter

Let me introduce myself frankly. I am a beginner to OpenFOAM®. I am acquiring knowledge on the same day by day. I can see the tutorial on EngineFOAM in OpenFOAM® 1.7.1. I have n't tried to compile and I am looking for a tutorial for this case in OpenFOAM®.

I also would like to know more about dynamic meshing, turbulence studies, reacting flows in OpenFOAM®. I am looking for some guide towards a path in learning EngineFOAM package.

Reg. KIVA I already referred the webpage as you gave. I found that KIVA is available for fee and not free. I wanted to know whether old KIVA versions are freely available.

Since you want to do engine simulations. I would recommend to install the developer versions, hence 1.5_dev or 1.6-ext. There are more things for engines implemented, for instance mesh motion strategies for canted valves.... and of course bug fixes, which are not taking into account by other versions.
