In "Feature Presentation OFWS 2010" slides it is pointed that wmake is a blocker for building a Debian package. The FreeFOAM project uses cmake to compile OpenFOAM®. It would be good to use this experience. Are there any plans to integrate cmake into OF-dev? Or to merge with FreeFOAM?

cmake was necessary for the native port to MS Windows (that port was financed by MS)
when 1.6-ext is available you will be able to use cmake instead of wmake.

But no download available for normal users so far
