the group and its topic is closely linked to the SIG on Turbulence Modeling and Simulation.

On the OpenFOAM® workshop in Gothenburg in 2010 the topic was already discussed as can be seen here:

However, we only now came together to make some first steps and in order to keep things in order and easily structured, a working group concentrated only on Detached-Eddy Simulation was founded.

I just read your announcement... To keep things sorted and to provide you some facilities to stay in contact and share snipplets (code and information), I'd suggest that you additionally found a sub-project... See Community-driven Collaborative Projects on the left menue panel under Community.

Here you'll find a task- and time-management including file-sharing, project calendar and a task-related messaging system...

You can found this sub-project either in public or in private mode, meaning a public member is able to see and join the sub-project or not. If chosen private, the sub-project admin (founder) has to invite registered members in order to populate the member list.

thanks for the hint, Holger. A project seems to be a better way to organize tasks and files. I created a project on
www.extend-project.de/index.php?option=c...e9ecb=1&Itemid=0

We have to check and find out how to use all the tools and groups/projects...

However, I already saw that one can generate folders, assign tasks and so on. Thus, the projects seems to fulfill our requirements.

For the file sharing it is possible to:
1) Create folders and nested folders 2) Create text notes 3) Upload project files 4) Attach files and notes to tasks

thanks for the info. The 'nested' folders do not seem to work, the initially defined directory structure I created got lost - as I reported in the bug tracker, my last comment there is in German, I get lazy

However, maybe I applied or understood the tool not the way it is meant to work!?
