TOPIC: Hybrid RANS-LES group on the 5th OFWS - follow up

Hybrid RANS-LES group on the 5th OFWS - follow up 1 Year, 10 Months ago Karma: 1
Dear all,
below please find the mail I sent around this afternoon to the list of participants of the meeting intended to initiate the hybrid RANS-LES SIG or working group.
Several answers have been written in reply. One of them by Håkan hinting at this newly established group - thanks Eric for setting up this group and thanks everyone for all the answers.
I will tell them about this group and we should then use the wiki and extend-project together. Henrik mentioned that they are intended to be complementary so we should use everything available.
Best regards, Ulf.
P.S.: As you can see, now I was successful in registering, but only from a different network. Holger is still working on that problem, good luck, Holger, and thanks for your support.

Dear all,

please find attached the meeting minutes of our 'hybrid RANS-LES' working group in short note form.

I could not register on www.extend-project.de/ so far. Holger confirmed that the mistake is not on my side and that he is working on it. Therefore, nothing is set up there until now.

However, we decided to check whether to join the SIG 'Turbulence (Modelling)'

and thus included Gavin and Fabian in this mailing list ... or mailing list to-be I found hybrid RANS-LES already on openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Sig_Turbulenc..._of_common_interests

Therefore, it is not necessary to set up a new SIG only related to hybrid RANS-LES in my eyes. I hope, you all agree. A complete infrastructure is provided on openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Sig_Turbulence.

However, shall we use the unofficial OpenFOAM®®® wiki there, or does the SIG on turbulence plan to migrate fully to www.extend-project.de/?

The last modifications of the SIG pages look like they were made more than one year ago.

So, before we start to contribute to or join the SIG turbulence:

What are the intentions for the future in this group? Will we continue with the wiki or will everything move to www.extend-project.de/ ? Anyone from the SIG on turbulence who would like to answer this question?

Fabian or Gavin?

Best regards and thanks for all your contributions, Ulf.

P.S.: If anyone wants to be removed from this mailing / distribution list, please let me know.

With best regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Saudações / Med vänlig hälsning
