Changes to Harmonic Interpolation 1 Year, 4 Months ago Karma: 2
Dear all,
I have only recently noticed that changes were made to the harmonic interpolation class to enable interpolation of non-scalar types. From what I can see some form of approximation is made so that the new implementation no longer actually returns 1/reverseLinear(1/phi) for scalar types. It seems to return an approximation to this instead through the interpolation weights. Since harmonic interpolation only makes physical sense for scalar and tensor types (which are both readily invertable) I would like to suggest we modify the approach to allow only scalar and tensor types, and use the original expression and approach.

Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks
Ivor
