foam-extend-3.1 "Zagreb" is released The Extend Project is proud to announce the next release of the community fork of OpenFOAM®: foam-extend-3.1 [link]!
I would love to re-launch the documentation project in order to organize and coordinate community-driven documentation on the OpenFOAM® CFD toolbox. This group is founded in order to collect ideas and suggestions. Please join the discussion!Created on: Thursday, 18 November 2010
This group deals with the implementation of quadrature-based moment methods for the solution of kinetic equations, with the purpose of describing gas-solid and gas-liquid flows (risers, bubble columns, ...).Created on: Sunday, 12 December 2010
Develop specifications for binary packages of OpenFOAM®, which are conform to each distribution policy.http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Howto_create_binary_packageshttp://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Installation#System_specific_tips_and_experiencesCreated on: Friday, 11 February 2011
Created on: Wednesday, 09 March 2011
Working Group for interFoam solver (sub-group of the SIG on Multiphase Flows). If anyone in the community has a problem with interFoam & would like to get solution for it, can join here and post their problems. Results will be published in this group and on meetings,e.g., at the Local User Group meeting "Stammtisch" in Germany.Created on: Thursday, 13 October 2011
The working group is interested in the development of approximate Riemann solvers for Hyperbolic Conservation Laws. Riemann solver is a numerical method used to solve a Riemann problem. They are heavily used in computational fluid dynamics and computational magnetohydrodynamics.Created on: Wednesday, 02 November 2011
OpenFOAM®® simulations take a significant amount of time leading to higher costs of simulations. GPU technology has a potential to reduce the time. There are a few solutions on the market such as ofgpu or SpeedIT. Which one do you prefer? What are their limitations?Do you think OpenFOAM®®® community could benefit from GPU technology?Created on: Friday, 20 April 2012
This group will focus in developing an All-Speed or Mach-uniform multiphase themofludic code using OpenFOAM® as its platform technology. Such development work has been ongoing for a couple of years but now with independence and special focus for Lean Premixed and Prevaporised (LPP) Gas Turbine combustion application. The code utilises a modified 8-equation Saurel-Abgrall (1999) multi-phase and multi-fluid model with a hybrid density-pressure based solver as in Xisto et al (2011).Improvements to attain more accurate EOS to capture some flow features such as flash evaporation of multicomponent fuels (JP8) is underway. A more challenging issue of predicting primary atomisation will be considered soon.Created on: Friday, 08 June 2012
This is a forum focusing on the use of OF for built environment. Topics for discussion are, but not limited to, HVAC, Green Building, Wind Driven Rain, Fire & Smoke, Pollutants Dispersion, Blast, acoustic, and OF GUI for Building Engineering Simulation.Created on: Wednesday, 01 May 2013
This group aims to promote the use of OpenFoam for general CFD applications, e.g Aerospace, Automobile, Ventilation, Electronic cooling, hydrodynamics(free surface) etc.We also hope to organize a OpeFoam Workshop here in Singapore in 2014.Created on: Wednesday, 01 May 2013
This is a special interest group focuses on the use of OpenFoam for solving Marine, Offshore and Coaster Engineering and related problems.Created on: Thursday, 02 May 2013
